[Review] iPhone 5

iPhone 5 telah resmi diperkenalkan beberapa waktu lalu di San Francisco, AS. Di usung dengan 4 inci dengan rasio 16:9, 18% lebih tipis, bertenaga, dan fitur yang lebih baik dibandingkan sebelumnya.

Dilapisi dengan kaca dan aluminium serta ketebalan hanya 0,3 inci (7,6mm) serta berat sekitar 112gram. iPhone 5 mempunyai resolusi layar 1136 x 640 pixel dengan kerapatan pixel 326 pixel per inci (ppi). Saturasi warna dengan menggunakan sistem rendering sRGB penuh.

Semua aplikasi bawaan di iPhone 5 telah diperbarui guna mendukung resolusi dan ukuran layar baru ini. Baris aplikasi di layar iPhone 5 terdiri dari 5 baris.

Hadir dengan sistem operasi mobile terbaru Apple, iOS 6. OS ini hadir dengan aplikasi Apple Maps, Passbook, Siri yang lebih pintar, dan layanan FaceTime melalui jaringan 3G. Bukan hanya itu saja, iPhone 5 dipersenjatai system on chip (SoC) A6. Apple mengklaim kalau prosesor A6 memberi performa grafis dan kecepatan lebih cepat 2x dibandingkan prosesor A5 yang ada di iPhone generasi sebelumnya.

iPhone 5 memang memiliki sensor kamera iSight yang sama dengan iPhone 4S, yaitu sebesar 8MP yang mampu menangkap gambar 40 persen lebih cepat dibanding iPhone 4S dan modus baru panorama yang memungkinkan pengguna untuk mengambil pemandangan luas.

Apple sudah tidak menggunakan konektor dock dengan 30 pin untuk iPhone generasi ke-6. Apple lebih memilih menggunakan konektor baru dengan jumlah pin yang lebih sedikit, yaitu 9 buah. Apple menyebut konektor tersebut sebagai "Lightning". Bagi Anda yang memiliki aksesori lama, Apple menyediakan adaptor penghubung dari dock konektor 8 pin ke 30 pin agar aksesoris tersebut masih bisa digunakan.

Selain menggunakan nano SIM card yang berukuran lebih mini dibandingkan microSIM, iPhone 5 juga dipersenjatai dengan koneksi super cepat, LTE. Namun, sayangnya fitur ini belum bisa digunakan di Indonesia. Meski beberapa operator seluler sudah menyedikan layanan.

Dari segi daya tahan, baterai iPhone 5 dapat mendukung 8 jam talk time 3G, 8 jam browsing dengan koneksi 3G, 8 jam browsing dengan LTE, 10 jam browsing dengan WiFi, 10 jam untuk menonton video, 40 jam untuk mendengarkan musik, dan 225 jam waktu standby.
